Organic baby and children clothes made up of cotton combine earth-friendly materials manufactured with bold graphics, bright colors and hip with simple designs is good for babies’ health. Ultra-soft and comfy infant layette items, baby shower gift sets, mix-and-match baby Onesies, t-shirts, varsity tees, yoga pants, corduroy cargo pants, baby caps and booties are available in the market sized from newborn to toddler.
Conventional cotton has been subjected to pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers or other chemicals. As per the agricultural reports available, conventional cotton is one of the most chemically-dependent crops, sucking up 10% of all agricultural chemicals and 25% of insecticides on 3% of our arable land which is more than any other crop per unit. That adds up to 1/3 of a pound of chemicals to produce enough cotton for a t-shirt, and 3/4 of a pound for a pair of jeans. According to reliable sources, 20,000 deaths occur each year from pesticide poisoning in developing countries, many of these from cotton farming, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
